Press Release

Gold Standard is ‘Leaving Jordan’s’ latest release. Set to be the first track off their upcoming debut EP “Better Late than Never”, and is a track that teases their meatier chops. Heading back to Rocking Horse Studio in the Byron hinterland with internationally renowned Engineer Paul Pilsneniks (producing work for The Living End, Silverchair, Powderfinger, Grinspoon and The Mars Volta) Leaving Jordan ramp up the thumping guitar laden backdrop and come out swinging for a place within the Aussie Indie Rock scene.

Gold Standard is set to be the first release from their EP and a telling sign of what is to come. The title is a tongue in cheek quip about the boys being on their, not so best behaviour. It was written in the haze of a night where “going for one” turned into - going for way too long. The kind of night where you end up running home as the sun comes up, with an empty wallet, battered ego and a vague recollection of what preceded. With a catchy hook and driving riffs Gold Standard laughs in the face of our shortcomings and takes another swig instead!

Coming off the back of a sold out show opening for Ruby Fields, Leaving Jordan have been ripping through their local scene, leaving a wake of tattered voice boxes and broken necks, no longer able to head bang. Headlining shows across Byron, the Gold Coast and Brisbane, and with an EP release set for the end of the year, Leaving Jordan don’t look to be taking their foot of the gas any time soon.
